Inventing Tenting - Design Process

For Maths today, Room 18 have been building paper tents from the Figure It Out activity called, Inventing Tenting.  Room 18 were able to work either alone, with a partner or in a small group to create their tent.  This was super enjoyable, and was great to see different skills and strategies being used. Some chose to meticulously plan, some worked with paper folding and some got straight into cutting and taping.  One question which arose was, how do you create a cone shape? Alucious was able to work out how to make a cone! In Room 18 we would love to hear your comments and questions about our learning.  Room 18 will also be adding comments about how they made their tent. Warm Fuzzies

Room 18 have had so many warm fuzzies out in the playground. We share all the positives that we have experienced during  break times and then share them in class, after morning tea and lunchtime.
